Dry and warm. A good time for gorillas and chimpanzees, and migrant birds are still around.
We are a Ugandan-owned company based in Kampala. Your trip comes with a private driver-guide who stays with you from arrival to departure.
Our guides grew up in Uganda. They know its wildlife, its culture and its landscapes first-hand, and they love sharing them.
From your first message until you are home safely, our team looks after you, and your trip comes with a private driver-guide.
Every trip we plan supports the local communities and the wildlife that make Uganda so extraordinary.
Treks can take anything from one hour to most of a day, depending on where the family slept last night.
The forest is already noisy before sunrise. Have breakfast, lace your boots and collect your packed lunch.
The rangers brief you and assign you to a gorilla family and a group of up to eight visitors.
Trackers set out at dawn to find the family. You follow on steep, narrow trails, and porters can carry your bag.
Wear your mask, keep your voice low and stay about seven metres back. Most people forget to take photos.
Eat where you stop, then walk back out the way you came.
A hot shower, a cup of tea and your trekking certificate.
Optional: a walk through a nearby community with local Batwa and Bakiga guides.
Your guide joins you to talk through the day.
“Eye World Tour created an absolutely unforgettable adventure for us! The gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi was life-changing. The guides were knowledgeable and genuinely cared about conservation. Highly recommend!”
